In a series of stories beginning in 2012, the Tribune exposed a questionable relationship between Chicago's red-light camera vendor and City Hall. Some of those revelations led to an ongoing federal criminal investigation and other probes that cost Redflex Traffic Systems Inc. its Chicago contract and resulted in the resignation of the company's top executives.
